Dehradun. In Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, 216 children were born in the last 3 months, but it is astonishing that there is no single girl in them. District administration prepared report after survey in 132 villages of Uttarkashi district According to this, in all these villages, there was no single daughter born in the last three months. An official of the district administration said that the central government is running awareness campaign under the Beti Bachao-Beti Pachao Yojna, but it seems ineffective in the villages of this district.

Following this startling report, the Collector Dr. Ashish Chauhan held an emergency meeting with the Asha Workers, Social Workers and local public representatives. During this time, collector hope workers should increase their monitoring in all marked areas and present survey report. In the meeting, MLA Gopal Rawat was also present.

Will run improvement programs in marked areas: collector

The collector said, “We have marked all the areas where the birth of girls is zero or less than 10. Regularly monitor the administrative officer and volunteer here and know what is the reason for the birth rate being zero. After the survey, a report will also be prepared and necessary reform programs will be conducted.

Social worker said – this is not a coincidence

Social worker Kalpana Thakur said, “There is no coincidence in the last three months that there is no birth of one girl in 132 villages here. It is clear that female feticide in the district is spreading rapidly. The government and the administration are not taking any tough steps against it. “Meanwhile, senior journalist Shiv Singh Thanwal has demanded strict action against the government. He said, “The rise of female feticide is a big question on the central government’s daughter Bachao-Beti Pachao scheme.”
