new Delhi. The central government said on Tuesday that there has been a reduction of 86% in terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. In the last decade, this number has reached 23,290 to 3187. The government has given the figure from April 2009 to June 2019. According to this, the action of the security forces against the terrorists has increased by 59%.
Congress MP Manish Tewari had asked the question about this. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kishan Reddy replied in the Lok Sabha. He said – 28% fewer terror attacks occurred in the six months of this year than in 2018. Reddy said: In the last decade, the terrorist attacks in the country have decreased by 70% compared to the previous decade. It is now 71 to 21%. The army has consistently taken action against the terrorists.
More than 400 incidents of incidents in three years
Last week, the government had said that – In the last three years about 400 militants infiltrated, out of which 126 were killed by security forces. This operation killed 27 security personnel. Four terrorists were arrested. 143 times in 2018, 136 in 2017 and 119 in 2016 incidents of infiltration occurred.
Intrusion incidents decreased by 43%
According to Reddy, in the last six months of 2018, there has been a decrease of 43% in incidents of infiltration in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that more than 960 terrorists were killed in Jammu and Kashmir in five years. During this, 413 security personnel were martyred.
