Alibaba Cloud, a subsidiary of the Alibaba Group, announced on the 22nd that it will launch a blockchain lab in Shibuya, Tokyo, to support Japanese game developers in the Web3 era. It will open in April in partnership with Skeleton Crew Studio, a game and VR content developer.
As an incubation hub for the Web3 era, the lab aims to be a place for game developers to gather and improve their skills in the latest blockchain technology.
Developers will have the opportunity to learn about the latest Web3 technology trends and knowledge through regular seminars, workshops and networking events. In addition, it is also possible to directly access the ecosystem of companies affiliated with Alibaba Cloud, and there are opportunities to conduct demonstration experiments in test environments on each ecosystem.
For the time being, access to the lab will be open to hackathon participants and select companies working on collaborative projects with Alibaba Cloud.

- Web3 specialized game hackathon “asobiHack_Tokyo”
- HAPathon 2023: Hackathon in 3 categories: Tech & Financial Infrastructure, Innovative Web3 Apps.Held in 4 cities: Singapore, Bangkok, Tokyo and Hong Kong
“asobiHack_Tokyo” is accepting entries until May. The total prize money is 3.5 million yen, and the winning team will be given a prize of 2 million yen and a joint marketing opportunity with Alibaba Cloud.

Launch of blockchain node service
