According to a report by Decrypt, prestigious auction house Christie’s is planning to hold its second auction for NFT Collectibles. According to the reports, the next auction is likely to be scheduled in Hong Kong in September.
The collectibles will include the likes of CryptoPunks, Bored Apes, Meetbits, and many other NFT artists. It is reported that the upcoming auction will come from a single-owner collection.
Christie’s is known to organize some of the most prestigious auction sales with many collectibles selling at enormous prices. Beeple sold his artwork EVERYDAYS: THE FIRST 5000 DAYS for $69 million, making it the highest-paid NFT to date. The auction also helped put Beeple’s artwork as the third biggest sale by a living artist.
Recently, Gucci’s NFT collection was auctioned at Christie’s in May. In another auction, a group of CryptoPunks was sold for over $17 million. CryptoPunks developers Larva Labs have also developed an art project called Meebits.
NFT has recently gained its momentum again with many reputable companies looking to build a corner in the NFT space.
