Major crypto exchange Binance announced on Monday that it will support the upgrade and hard fork of the NEM (XEM) network scheduled for Tuesday.

Binance explained that the NEM mainnet hard fork “Harlock II” will land around November 30 14:15 (UTC) after the XEM mainnet block height reaches 3,481,580. Along with this, it has announced the suspension of the Deposits and withdrawals of XEM from around 13:15 on the 30th, one hour before the scheduled upgrade.
NEM’s trading pair will not be suspended during the upgrade. Moreover, the restart of the deposits and withdrawals will be announced after the upgrade is completed successfully on the mainnet.
Hard forks of the networks NEM and its new chain Symbol (XYM) were announced in early November after lead developer Hatchet (@ 0x6861746366574) unveiled plans to promote NEM’s sub chaining and open source.
