Binance has partnered with the Brave browser and now users will be able to trade cryptocurrencies directly through a browser widget.
Dubbed the Binance Widget, the tool will allow Brave browser users to access the exchange's website directly. Thus, they will be able to deposit, buy, sell and view balances of their cryptocurrencies. All of these functions will be possible without leaving the browser.
Brave will be the only browser that offers integrated functionality to buy and trade cryptocurrencies.
To ensure users' privacy and security, Binance Widget is not a loaded iframe, but is incorporated into the Brave browser.
"The Binance widget on the Brave browser is a safer way to buy and sell cryptocurrencies while reducing user friction to integrate, trade and interact with the Binance ecosystem," said Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao ('CZ' ). "We are looking forward to our partnership with Brave to make it even easier to interact with the cryptocurrency market and encourage more utility in the near future."
When the product is active, it will be activated by default in Brave, but users will be able to manually disable it and hide it directly from the new tab page.
The new feature is available today as a Beta version in the Nightly Brave desktop version. The full product, including the integration of the general desktop version, will be released in April.
In the future, the widget will also be available for the mobile version.
"Cryptocurrency trading can be a daunting task for users unfamiliar with these assets, so integrating Binance into the Brave browser makes the process easy and simple," said Brendan Eich, CEO and co-founder of Brave. "By bringing a leading exchange like Binance directly to the browser, Brave is embracing cryptocurrency trading and allowing users to easily transact."
