Popular Japanese exchange Bitbank announced on the 26th that it will start handling the token of the Ethereum-based decentralized blockchain Chainlink from December 3.
The token will be available for onboard trading and users can avail LINK/JPY and LINK/BTC trading pairs to begin trading of LINK.
Bitbank currently handles 12 types of cryptocurrencies, including the newly listed LINK token. Chainlink announced at SBI VC Trade in September that it is set to list for the first time on a Japanese exchange. Soon after, Bitflyer announced that it will start its handling in December.
In addition, BitPoint announced on November 25 that it will also start trading Chainlink tokens from November 30. At press time, LINK was trading at $23.54, down by $12.71 from previous day.
Chainlink is an Oracle project that aims to connect off-chain sources to on-chain smart contracts to facilitate the secure transfer of data for various sectors such as web services, finance, and insurance. LINK is an ERC-20 token based on the Ethereum blockchain and uses proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus protocol to mint more tokens.
