Major Japanese crypto exchange Bitbank announced on October 1 that it will start handling cryptocurrency Symbols (XYM) from October 5, 2021.

This is the second time a Japanese crypto exchange has listed XYM. Previously XYM was listed on crypto exchange Zaif. Symbol (XYM) was founded in March 2021 by NEM, an ecosystem of platforms that use blockchain to offer solutions for businesses and individuals.

Symbol is a next-generation enterprise-standard blockchain designed for developers, businesses, and individuals that enables seamless integration with existing systems and processes, as well as other networks and blockchains.

XYM holders can contribute to the maintenance of the ecosystem for the blockchain to function properly by “harvesting” the new block generation process.

At the time of writing, XYM was trading at $0.143948 with a 24-hour trading volume of $8,653,077. It rose by 28.25% within 24 hours as a result of the new listing.
