Crypto service provider Blockchain.com announced on December 2 that it has released the beta version of its own NFT marketplace. The company has unlocked the waiting list for those who want early access to the platform.

Launched in the early stages of the emerging industry, Blockchain.com is a cryptocurrency service provider that provides cryptocurrency wallets and on-chain data in addition to buying and selling cryptocurrencies.

“Over the last ten years, we’ve helped tens of millions of people access crypto by providing an easy way to buy, sell, swap, store, and earn crypto,” the company said in the announcement. “Now we want to make it easy for people to access the exciting, new NFT market.”

Blockchain.com revealed that the NFT platform is compatible with the popular NFT series Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Doodles, Lazy Lions, and Cool Cats NFT. The NFT marketplace will be powered by OpenSea.

With the latest NFT boom, several crypto exchanges have nosedived into the world of digital collectibles. Popular crypto exchanges Crypto.com, Coinbase, and FTX are all looking to launch their NFT marketplaces.

NFT interest peaked in the third quarter of 2021, surpassing $10.7 billion in trading volume. Of the total, OpenSea continued to account for more than 90% of NFT transactions.
