Caito Maia, personality of Shark Tank Brasil and CEO of Chilli Beans, came to speak at one of the events promoted by Genbit, which at that time was still called Zero.10 Club. At that time, the company was already in the sights of the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) due to suspicion of irregular performance in the market.
Creator Chilli Beans opened the international convention Infinity Zero. He shared his experiences as an entrepreneur and dealt with topics related to leadership and people management. It would be nothing if the company behind the event were not the one that already raised suspicions in the market for fraudulent performance.
The company Gensa (corporate name of both Genbit and Zero.10 Club) today is the target of investigations by the Public Ministry and the Civil Police of São Paulo on suspicion of fraud with cryptocurrencies. However, even before that event in which the entrepreneur participated, the CVM had already issued an alert to investors about Zero.10 Club (former name of Genbit).
According to the Anti-Ponzi Group (GAP), Maia would have been, however, yet another victim of Gensa's leaders. In the publication made by GAP, the personality of Shark Tank Brasil would have been used by Nivaldo Gonzaga and Gabriel Tomaz.
"With this action alone, Nivaldo Gonzaga increased the volume of money in the Pyramid by more than 30%, according to the Director of International Operations, who ended up informing the criminal organization's evil plans to the GAP."

In the program shown by the paid channel Sony, the respected businessman is constantly analyzing the feasibility of deals presented to him. Maia, however, ended up lending his credible image to a business beyond suspicion.
The international conference promoted by the company that diverted all the bitcoins from its customers then featured shows by the country duo Chitãozinho & Xororó and Jorge & Mateus.
The event also featured presentations by comedian Gabriel Louchard and acrobatics group Universo Casuo. Youtuber Rick Chesther, owner of the channel “Pega a Visão”, was also one of the attractions of Infinity Zero. With all these names, the most celebrated, however, was that of the presenter of Shark Tank Brasil.
In the announcement of the event by Zero.10 Club, Caito Maia was presented not as the star of the night in which he would participate, but in the very conference that took place in two days at the Credicard Hall in São Paulo.
“To open the lecture circuit, Caito Maia will tell the story of his successful brand, Chilli Beans, with more than 800 stores in Brazil and abroad. In addition, it presents topics on leadership, planning and people management ”.
Caito Maia and the Sony channel were contacted by the report for comment, but did not return requests.
This is not the only case involving a celebrity from Shark Tank Brazil to companies suspected of fraud with cryptocurrencies. Camila Farani almost gave a lecture to Binary Bit on August 17th at Arena da Fonte Nova, Salvador (BA). However, she had canceled her participation for contractual reasons.
According to Farani's advisory, the participation was canceled "after the distancing of values towards the company and the convention was verified". The businesswoman received twice the award for Best Angel Investor at the Startup Awards – in 2016 and 2018.
Binary Bit is suspected of operating in a financial pyramid fraud scheme, according to the CVM, after evaluating a complaint filed in May 2019.
