Cosmos is ranked at #21 beneath Ethereum Classic in the market. Like a majority of the altcoins, ATOM has been fluctuating in the red zone. The price sunk by 10.90% in the course of the past 24-hours. The trading volume recorded is $132.410 million, while the supply has 190,688,439 ATOM coins in play. ATOM recently implemented programming involving 3 languages: Secure EcmaScript, Ethermint [based on Solidity], and Pact. Currently, Cosmos is trading on 80 active markets [according to the data obtained from coinmarketcap].

Due to Cosmos branching out, it will serve as a better competitor for Ethereum Classic [the latter will soon be having their Atlantis hard-fork].

The SDK v.0.36.0 was unveiled 2 days ago alongside Gaia v1.0.0. More Cosmus Hub updates may be on the way.

The main goal of Cosmos to be transform into an “Internet of Blockchains”. Scalability and interoperability are two factors the developers tend to focus on.
