Major crypto platform crypto.com has now announced on October 25 a partnership with Water.org, a charity co-founded by Hollywood actor Matt Damon.
As per the announcement, the partnership seeks to leverage cryptocurrencies to raise awareness of the water crisis and to deliver safe, cost-effective drinking water and sanitation to developing countries.
Crypto.com has donated $1 million to Water.org as well as called on 10 million Crypto.com users worldwide to support this mission.
Matt Damon, Co-Founder of Water.org, said:
“As our financial solutions and platforms evolve, we can use them for good. Crypto.com and Water.org are both working toward positive transformation, and our innovative, financial solutions will help change lives and the world.”
The success and true potential of cryptocurrency will only come to pass when the greatest number of people have access to the tools needed to be in full control of our own lives, finances, and futures,” added Kris Marszalek, Co-Founder and CEO of Crypto.com to the statement.
Water.org is a non-profit organization founded by US philanthropist and engineer Gary White and actor Matt Damon that aims to provide safe water and sanitation to people in developing countries.
