Crypto.com, which operates cryptocurrency exchanges and payment services, announced on the 16th that it has signed a five-year partnership with London-based professional esports team “Fnatic”.

Crypto.com will now be the ‘Global Cryptocurrency Partner’ of Fnatic and plans to launch a series of products related to the professional esports team.

Fnatic uniforms will now don Crypto.com’s logo and allow cryptocurrency payment options to their fans as part of this 5-year partnership deal.

The company has paid over $15 million for the recent partnership, along with a number of partnerships it has signed recently.

Crypto.com has also signed partnerships with motorsports “F1” and mixed martial arts group “UFC”, and recently signed a partnership agreement with France’s prestigious soccer club “Paris Saint-Germain FC” on the 10th.

However, this is the first time the company has formed a partnership with an esports team.

Fnatic CEO, Sam Mathews, said of the partnership:

“…Fnatic boasts one of the most connected, involved and supportive fan bases in the world and this landmark deal with Crypto.com allows us to further cater to their everyday needs. As cryptocurrency becomes a mainstream payment method, there’s never been a better time to help our fans make smarter, healthier and future-proof cryptocurrency decisions.”

To date, Fanatic has won over 200 times in various championships in over 30 kinds of games.

Co-Founder and CEO of Crypto.com, Marszalek told Decrypt that the esports/gaming audience is tech-oriented with a favorable view of cryptocurrency. He added:

“Naturally, we are excited to find opportunities that allow us to create integrated partnerships with the best brands in this space. Furthermore, esports is quickly becoming one of the most popular forms of entertainment worldwide, making the space even more attractive to us.”

Crypto.com has over 10 million users worldwide and is one of the top 10 finance apps on both the App Store and Google Play.
