Arca, a US crypto-assets investment and management company, has announced on the 2nd that it has launched the industry’s first actively managed income fund in the crypto space.
According to the press release, the ‘Arca Digital Yield Fund’ strives to offer digital asset investment opportunities with low volatility and stable yield. The fund is currently open for existing investors and will be accessible to the public later this year.
The company has not offered clarity on what kind of cryptocurrencies they will manage. However, since it is an active fund, it is not managed by a fixed issue.
Arca has announced that the yield fund will be jointly handled by CIO Jeff Dorman and Portfolio Manager Hassan Bassiri, CFA. Talking about the investment fund’s new initiative, Jeff Dorman, Arca’s Chief Investment Officer said:
“We believe an actively managed fund is a better option than the passive yield generating options currently available in the market due to its flexible structure, allowing us to take advantage of variable rates of return across different segments of the asset class.
As the digital asset ecosystem continues to mature, Arca is leading investors through new territory with the same focus on market strategy, capital preservation and growth, and investment risk.”
