The 3XP Web3 Gaming Expo will be held in June in Los Angeles, California. DCENTRAL will be providing one of three stages specifically to make this event even more exciting.
What is Web3
The current centralized web is defined as Web2, and refers to an attempt to realize a non-centralized network using blockchain. A typical feature is the use case of decentralized networks such as blockchain, such as access to dApps using virtual currency wallets.
This expo is a large-scale event that brings together pioneers and developers of blockchain games. Participants will have the opportunity to experience what is happening at the forefront of the game.
Interactive events and exhibitions will be held in various fields such as e-sports, metaverse, music, entertainment and NFTs (non-fungible tokens), and digital fashion. In addition, there will be a hackathon by Her DAO and a discussion on DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization).
The industry’s top game developers will announce new titles, which will be streamed live on Twitch.tv. Participants will also be able to experience Web3 games that will be released in the future at the venue.
The esports arena will host live events featuring top players in Web3 games. There will also be a networking space for investors and B2B (business to business).
The expo will include providers of Avalanche (AVAX) and Polygon (MATIC), major cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, NFT marketplace Magic Eden, cryptocurrency payment startups MoonPay, STEPN, Web3 game Gala Games, and more. A lot of people are planning to participate.
What is eSports
An abbreviation of Electronic Sports, it is a name that captures video games as sports. It is often held as a multiplayer game tournament. Boosted by the spread of online streaming platforms, the popularity has increased, and as of 2017, the global audience is estimated to reach hundreds of millions. There are various competitions such as shooting, fighting, puzzles, and card games.
“Synergies to promote Web3”
DCENTRAL co-founder Justin Wu explained:
The Web3 games industry is growing. Events like the 3XP Web3 Gaming Expo will be essential as the sector continues to evolve.
Bringing together those with great ideas and those who practice game development creates a synergistic effect that boosts the entire Web3 community. This advances the industry’s shared goal of providing a unique and innovative experience for the community of Web3 gamers.
A conference provided by DCENTRAL is also scheduled for September 2023 in Tokyo. During the Tokyo Game Show, a conference is expected to bring together game, metaverse, and Web3 developers.
3XP is an expo run by DAO Game7, which aims to expand the adoption of blockchain-enabled game economies, and has the “three Ps”. This means Permissionless Extensibility, Practical Application, Provably Fun.
