Decentralized music streaming startup Audius quickly gained attention in the music industry for its new ways of promoting music and artists, leveraging the advantages of a transparent, distributed ledger.
Now, Twitter and Discord have come forward to support the blockchain-based platform by integrating its ‘embed’ functionality into their channels. Audius’ new functionality allows users, artists, and fans to embed the Solana NFT gallery on blogs and social media platforms.
Artists are required to connect their Audius accounts with Solana-based wallet Phantom to avail the functionality. The platform said:
“NFT holders can embed their collectibles from the two biggest blockchains on Twitter timelines, personal blogs, and websites. Thanks to this new feature, will further push collectibles into the mainstream.”
Audius has an ‘Artist first’ mentality, just like the music streaming platform SoundCloud, which allows artists to produce music with minimal label interference. The platform allows artists to have control over how their music is monetized.
Top artists including Katy Perry, Nas, Jason Derulo, and The Chainsmokers recently invested in Audius, which has now more than 6 million users as per September statistics.
