Disenchantment returns to Netflix in September

On September 20, Disenchantment is all set to be back on Netflix with a brand new season. This will have 10 episodes as well. Matt Groening is well-known for his hit show The Simpsons which is a worldwide phenomenon even today.

This fantasy series is just what you would expect from something by Matt: snide political commentary through the use of humour, periodically referring to the motifs of the fantasy genre in a manner that’s nothing short of hilarious. Those who love Futurama and The Simpsons simply can’t afford to miss this epic series.

The art style is the signature one employed by Groening. The landscapes and scenery look more colourful. The archetype of each character is visibly reminiscent of those in Futurama.

The action in this show is much more pronounced compared to the other two.

Even though Netflix has been criticized for the short-lived shows that they cancel(a lot), they seem to be sincere about a few. Which is splendid. Even though critics didn’t love this show as much as The Simpsons, just like ‘Bright’ which was loosely based in the universe of the Lord of the Rings,  the reaction from the audience is what helps a show propel through. Disenchantment will continue through 2021, another season will have 20 episodes.
