ETC Labs Announces Second Cohort of Accelerate Program

Ethereum Classic Labs (ETC Labs) has announced seven finalists to be a part of Cohort II of the Accelerate program. The finalists were selected from a group of 150 startup submissions. They were chosen to “align with the vision and goals of the ETC Labs Accelerate program”.

The projects and businesses will grow and maintain the ETC community, by working on things like interoperability, social impact and white-label solutions for enterprise needs.

ETC Labs is an organisation which works on increasing adoption and utilisation of Ethereum Classic while improving the blockchain protocol and ecosystem. The Accelerate programme, which is hosting Cohort II was launched in July. Accelerate partners with blockchain companies and communities to build products, services and decentralised applications (dApps) on the Ethereum Classic network.

The first Cohort occurred during the first three months of 2019 with 11 blockchain companies, who Accelerate funded, educated and mentored to create products on Ethereum Classic. The focus of this Cohort was to build the necessary infrastructure and tools for dApps. The companies were reportedly greatly successful in developing and adopting Ethereum Classic.

The second Cohort will start on August 19, 2019, with each team receiving funding, technical resources and mentorship. They will use these resources to develop their products and networks, create market strategies and promote growth among partners and investors.

Liz Kukka, executive director of ETC Labs stated:

“We are excited to have another strong Cohort as part of the ETC Labs Accelerate program. We are thrilled to have so much interest in the program, as we continue the success of companies like Ethernode and Button Wallet that were part of our previous Cohort.”

The seven startups include: ChainSafe, O-S City, Pulse Agent, Saldo.mx, Scaling Ventures, Second State and W3 Engineers.

The Cohort II launch event will occur on August 21st, and tickets are available here.
