Red Bull Honda and Tezos partner
Red Bull Racing Honda announced a technical tie-up with Tezos blockchain on the 20th. As the official blockchain partner of the team, Tezos will provide NFT (Non-Fungible Token) to fans.
Red Bull Racing Honda is a racing team sponsored by beverage maker Red Bull and has been using Honda as its power unit since 2019.

“Tezos, which remains at the forefront of blockchain technology, naturally matched Red Bull Racing Honda,” said Christian Horner, CEO of Red Bull Racing Honda.
More importantly, its energy-intensive design is also in line with our long-term, future-proof environmental beliefs, and Tezos’ low-load approach as Formula One moves to carbon neutrality. Will be a valuable asset.
Blockchain and motorsport
Motorsport Formula One (F1) is also unrelated to the term carbon neutral.
The announcement by Red Bull Honda also emphasized that Tezos is an environmentally friendly blockchain, such as “operating with minimal energy consumption” regarding Tezos’ blockchain technology.
Going forward, the team will issue the first collectable NFTs to fans on the Tezos blockchain.
This is not the first NFT that focuses on the world of F1. Blockchain company Animoca has provided the blockchain game “F1 Delta Time”.
In this game, F1 machines and drivers will be converted to NFTs, and users will be provided with the experience of collecting NFTs to form teams and compete with other players.
Among them, the limited-edition machine gained popularity as an NFT, and it was sometimes traded at a value of tens of millions of yen in Japanese yen.
Although it is not clear what the specifications of the NFT provided by Red Bull Honda will be, the team aims to “always provide a unique and immersive experience”, and the NFT also interacts with fans. It is positioned as part of efforts to strengthen it.
