Fortune, a top American multinational business magazine, has recently added ‘NFTy’ in its series ranking of top 50 influential people in various industries. The magazine is well known for ‘Fortune 500’ that publishes a ranked list of companies by revenue.
The person who ranked first on the list is Beeple, a digital artist who is known as ‘Pixel Picasso’. His ‘Everydays’ series was sold in March with a price tag of $69,400,000, making it the fourth-most expensive artwork by a living artist.
CryptoPunks, one of the first non-fungible tokens developed on the Ethereum blockchain, was ranked second. Roham Gharegozlou, CEO of Dapper Labs, was ranked third. Dapper Labs is a consumer-focused Flow blockchain product that is known for developing hit games such as the NBA Top Shot and CryptoKitties.
Fortune Magazine explained the ranking:
“NFTs—new kinds of digital collectibles—caught fire this year. In a new list, Fortune ranks the most influential builders, creatives, and influencers on the scene.”
Many of the top artists, influencers, and NFT collections were included in the list. In addition to CryptoPunks, Flamingo DAO (Ranked 27) and Bored Ape Yacht Club (Ranked 41) were also included.
Some of the well-known artists on the list are Jay-Z, Paris Hilton, Mark Cuban, 3LAO, Gary Vee, and Grimes.
It also came to light that Pplpleasr has designed the cover for the August and September issues of Fortune Magazine, which will be sold as a limited series of NFTs. She ranked fifth in the list and is known for her works including visual effects credits in feature films such as Star Trek, Wonder Woman, and Batman Vs. Superman.
