Japanese crypto exchange GMO Coin has announced the scheduled date of airdropping the cryptocurrency XYM, the native token of Symbol blockchain.
Announcing its plans on Monday, the exchanges reported that it will distribute the tokens on the 20th of this month, distributing them at a ratio of 1:1 according to the number of NEMs held by users in March this year.
From the same day, GMO will start handling the XYM, offering two kinds of services: “exchange (in-kind transaction)” and “credit crypto-assets”.
Previously only three Japanese platforms, Zaif (exchange), Sakura Exchange (agency business), and Bitbank (exchange), handled the XYM tokens before GMO announced its plans.
GMO Coin is a consolidated subsidiary of GMO Financial Holdings which offers wealth management services.
