On May 9, the web3 project team (web3PT) of the Liberal Democratic Party Digital Society Promotion Headquarters proposed the “web3 white paper”, which summarizes the discussions of the project team, to Prime Minister Kishida at the official residence. The “Project Team on AI Evolution and Implementation” also made recommendations.
The AI development competition is heating up, with Google announcing an AI platform that supports about 40 languages, including Japanese, against the open AI/Microsoft camp that precedes ChatGPT.
The proposals of the two project teams call for the formulation of a national strategy for the new era that responds to these rapid and drastic changes of the times. The global changes surrounding AI are positioned as “the advent of the ‘AI New Era’.”
In his proposal regarding web3, he said, “Because our country has overcome many hardships in the cryptocurrency industry, we are in a position to convincingly persuade the world of the immeasurable future of web3.” Based on the fact that web3 is ahead of the rest of the world, he showed the potential of the future of web3 that Japan will open up.

JAPAN IS BACK, AGAIN
The “web3 white paper” has the first chapter titled “JAPAN IS BACK, AGAIN” and appeals that “this country was once becoming the center of web3.”
The arrival of “Crypto Asset Winter” has been evaluated as “an opportunity to shed light on the resilience of Japan’s web3 environment, which was about to be forgotten by the world,” but in fact, it will be held at the end of April. At “Consensus 2013”, Japan’s regulatory advancement was once again evaluated, and “Why Japan Is Embracing Crypto” was held as the first country-themed session at Consensus.
The subtitle of the white paper is “Towards an era where everyone can utilize digital assets”, “Issues that should be addressed immediately to promote web3”, and “Discussions should be started and deepened in anticipation of further development of web3”. Issues” are organized.
