Manchester City, one of the largest football teams in Europe and the world, announced a deal with Superbloke, a South Korea-based blockchain football game venture.
Last year in the English Premier League with 98 points in the championship, the team said in a statement, the club’s players will return to an online game character under the agreement with Superblock.
Superbloke’s Blockchain-focused football game FC Superstars will include these players. The game functions mainly as a decentralized application, and characters can be purchased in cryptocurrency.
With this agreement, people who play FC Superstars can now take Manchester City players to their teams and train them, the press release said. However, FC Superstars users will have access to real-life statistics of these players.
Manchester City, whose roster includes Raheem Sterling, Kevin de Bruyne, Sergio Aguero, Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva, is expected to make a major contribution to FC superstars.
At the same time, following the agreement, Superbloke will be the official Blockchain supporter of the team in South Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asia.
