Bollywood actor Tanushree Dutta’s statement comes as the Mumbai police are not getting any evidence against Bollywood actor Nana Patekar. The actress has been fiercely provoked by the Mumbai police action. Not only that, Tanushree Dutta has termed Mumbai police as corrupt. Speaking to a news agency, Tanushree said, “the corrupt police have given a clean chit to a corrupt man (Nana Patekar) who has been accused of harassment and intimidation by many women earlier.”
Tanushree Dutta had accused Nana Patekar of sexual abuse and molestation during the shooting of an old film of the year 2008 “Horn OK Please”. The allegation of Tanushree Dutta sparked during the #MeToo Campaign in India in which many women came and openly spoke about it. Tanushree had lodged a police complaint against Nana. That the Mumbai police was investigating.
On Tuesday, Tanushree was shocked by the Mumbai police side when the police said they found no evidence against Nana during the investigation. After the investigation, the police filed a B summary in the case. B Summary means that the police are not finding any evidence against the accused. Meaning that further investigation of the case cannot be pursued.
