Token wallet development

NTT Docomo, Inc. announced on the 11th that a complete small company “NTT Digital, Inc.” to promote web3 has reached a basic agreement with 13 companies including Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Hitachi, and Sanrio.

At NTT Digital, we will work with businesses in various industries and industries to develop systems, create use cases, and develop rules. He also mentioned the creation of use cases such as FinTech and self-management of personal data using DID (distributed ID).

As a web3 enabler, NTT Digital will globally promote the creation of an environment in which individuals and companies can easily and safely use web3 services and blockchain technology for the social implementation of cutting-edge digital technologies such as blockchain technology. .

web3 enabler is a general term for common functions and means that allow safe and secure use of services that utilize blockchain technology. As the first step of the web3 enabler, he revealed that he has started developing a token wallet that will be the entrance to the web3 service.

This wallet aims to be used with peace of mind without being aware of web3 or blockchain by backing up private keys, utilizing biometric authentication, filtering fraudulent transactions, etc., and is scheduled to be available in 2023. .

Regarding digital wallets, one of our partners, Highphen, points out that wallets are changing from tools that can only manage assets to DIDs (distributed IDs) that digitally prove themselves.

We will use the Web3 communication protocol “DMTP” developed by the company to realize a high-quality user experience in the wallet. DMTP allows sending and receiving messages based on wallet addresses.

Unlike phone numbers, email addresses, and SNS accounts, it was launched to solve Web3’s problem that “there is no way to contact directly with a wallet address.”
