Kyrgyzstan: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan once again broke diplomatic protocol – and this time he did this during the inauguration ceremony of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan.
In a video shared by Imran Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the Prime Minister of Pakistan can be seen sitting, while the rest of the people are seen standing up for the reception of the head of the Nation.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan went directly to his seat after being admitted in the hall, while all the rest remained till all the heads of state were not admitted in the recent past. Imran Khan also saw the rest standing, but he remained neutral, and stood only once at the time when his name was called. After standing on his call, he bowed his hands with his chest once, but immediately after that he sat again, while all the others stood !
Even before this, Imran Khan had broken diplomatic protocol at the 14th summit of the Organization of Islamic Co-operation (OIC) organized in Saudi Arabia earlier this month. At that time, during a meeting with Salman bin Abdulaziz, the sultan of Saudi Arabia, Imran Khan said something to Sultan’s dancer, and proceeded to leave before his translation was done, due to which the Sultan stood alone. The video was also circulated quite a lot on social media and on the charge of insulting Sultan, Imran Khan’s not only criticized the people of Saudi Arabia but also criticized him in his own country of Pakistan.

Imran Khan spoke to His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz, walked out & left the interpreter to translate 4 the King. Saudi govt has protested at highest level, told Pakistan that IK’s behaviour was disgusting & broke protocol rules. Meeting with the King & his Cabinet cancelled pic.twitter.com/nI6Yy2yrGD
