Store data in Doge’s smallest unit
The emulator of “Doom”, which appeared in the 1990s and made its name in the history of first-person shooter (FPS) games, will be able to open and play Explorer related to the cryptocurrency Dogecoin (DOGE) on the 22nd. Became.
The move marks the game’s 30th anniversary and is part of a range of celebrations and new projects driven by the community.
The access method for this game emulator on the Dogecoin network is included in one of the serial numbers of the Doginals protocol: “Shibescription 61832419”.
What is Doginals?
Doginals is a digital asset protocol that holds rich data on the Dogecoin blockchain, uses no smart contracts, and has no metadata files. Instead, an NFT-like structure is achieved by embedding call data (Inscriptions) within the block space.
Traditional NFTs primarily use token standards such as ERC-721 on blockchains to prove ownership to digital assets (e.g. artwork, music, video clips, etc.), but not the actual content or metadata. Data is typically stored off-chain on centralized servers, with only reference links and proof of ownership stored on the blockchain.

Similar to Bitcoin’s Ordinals, Dogecoin’s Doginals uses a process called “inscription” to associate token data with each Satoshi. Developer @minidogeart has placed Doom on Doginals and declared that it will be permanently recorded on the Dogecoin blockchain.
There is precedent for such efforts. In February 2023, a clone version of “Doom” was registered on the Bitcoin (BTC) blockchain and recorded as Inscription 466. Players can use certain emulators to access the game, which is hosted on a web server.

Expanding subscription boom
In response to the boom in the Bitcoin version of NFT (Ordinals), there is a growing movement among other blockchains to intentionally avoid using the NFT standard and develop NFT equivalents in Inscription. At Dogecoin, in February 2023, a developer known as “Apezord” created the first Shibescription “0” using the Doginal protocol.
With the introduction of Doginals, the community has generated thousands of Shibescriptions, ranging from text to images to GIFs. DOGI, the first DRC-20 token with a supply cap of 21 million, is also in circulation.
>A major infrastructure provider in the Doginals ecosystem, Doge Labs is known for founding the DRC-20 standard, creating an automated marketplace, and operating the Dogecoin wallet.
