The world’s first Bitcoin ETF Purpose Bitcoin ETF has leveraged the recent low Bitcoin prices after stashing more than 4,300 BTCs in the first two weeks of December, Chinese blockchain journalist Colin Wu reported Monday.
The additional purchase has taken its total amount of holdings to nearly 29,000 BTC. As per current Bitcoin prices of $48,503.10, its total stash amounts to nearly $1.4 billion.
According to Glassnode, in December, the number of bitcoins held by Purpose Bitcoin ETF has increased significantly, from 24,632 to 28,974, an increase of approximately 4,342 bitcoins. Purpose Bitcoin ETF is the world's first Bitcoin ETF in Canada. pic.twitter.com/aLwNgx9Krf

Launched in Canada in March 2021, Purpose Investments became the first company to launch a fully regulated spot Bitcoin ETF in the world, something the United States is yet to foresee.
There are currently dozens of applications sitting at the US SEC which are yet to be approved or rejected.
On October 28, ProShares became the first investment firm to launch a Bitcoin futures ETF in Canada. It recorded nearly $1 billion in trading volume on its first day, making it one of the highest-selling ETFs globally.
