new Delhi. Reliance Industries has become the country’s top company in the Fortune Global-500 list. Reliance has surpassed Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) by jumping 42 places in the ranking. Reliance Industries has 106th rank in the list of companies worldwide. IOC is number 117. Last year Reliance was ranked 148th and IOC’s 137th ranking.
Reliance revenues up 32% in one year, 18% growth in IOC
Reliance has consistently been in Fortune’s Global-500 list for 16 years. The revenues of the company rose 32.1% to $ 82.9 billion from $ 62.3 billion in 2018. On the other hand, 17.7% growth in IOC revenue has been recorded. This has increased from $ 65.9 billion to $ 77.6 billion. In the last 10 years, compiled annual growth of RN7% has been 7.2% and IOC has 3.64%.

Saudi Aram joins Top-10 for the first time
US retailer Wal-Mart is also top this year. China’s official oil and gas company Sinopec is at second place. Dutch company Royal Dutch Shell is third, fourth of China National Petroleum and fourth largest state grid company in China. Saudi Arabian oil company Saudi Aram has come in the top-10 for the first time. It’s number 10.
This ranking has been done on the basis of revenues of one year of the companies till March 31, 2019. Fortune announces the ranking of top 500 companies worldwide.
