Savan Monday; 25 people took 300 snakes by plunge into the river; Worshiping the temple


  • Every year in Bhagwati temple of Vaibhitipur, worship is done before Nagpanchami, snakes are caught by the river for this.
  • This worship includes people from other districts, including nearby villages, panchayats and blocks

Samastipur (Bihar) On the first Monday of Savan in Vaibhipur, Samastipur, 25 people caught the snake in the old Gandak river and caught more than 300 snakes. Then take him to Bhagwati temple and worship him. People came and wrapped these snakes with their arms and necks. The devotees were walking behind them.

Every year, before Nagpanchami in the Bhagwati temple located at Panchagi Chowk in western of Singiya Ghat of Vibhutiipur, people catch snakes from the river every year for this worship. Bhagat Ram Singh said that his ancestors have been worshiping Mother Venkatar from 1868. This worship was earlier on their home. Since the construction of the temple since 1951, this worship is happening in this temple. This worship includes the people of the second district, including the nearest village, Panchayat and Block.
