Mumbai. The stock market closed with gains after a day’s ups and downs. The Sensex ended the business at 37,118.22, up 99.90 points. The intra-day touched a low of 36,607.41 and a high of 37,375.16. The Nifty closed the business at 10,997.35, up 17.35 points. The business had touched a high of 11,080.15 and a low of 10,848.95.
According to traders, there was a decline in the market due to fears that trade war between US and China would intensify. But, shopping returned from lower levels. Therefore, the market remained profitable. US President Donald Trump said Thursday that China will impose a 10% tariff on September 1 from additional imports of $ 300 billion.
17 out of 30 Sensex stocks and 25 out of 50 Nifty stocks closed up. 5 out of 11 sector indices were on the NSE. Auto index gained the most by 1.13%. On the other hand, the metal index was the biggest drop at 1.9%.
