Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell couldn’t perform well today. However, their brothers-on-the-field had their backs, as David Warner scored an amazing century against Pakistan. David struck 11 fours during his time at the crease, and the bowlers were left thunderstruck, literally. He even hit one epic sixer.
The one who aided him during this journey was none other than Captain Aaron Finch, who scored 82 off 84 balls. He whipped up a hurricane on the field as he whacked six fours and four sixers as he faced his opponents with bravery. Mohammad Amir grabbed his wicket, while Warner fell because of Shaheen Afridi.
So far, the aforementioned Afridi has taken two wickets, including his maiden one at the Cup. Mohammad Amir and Hafeez each were able to capture one wicket (Hafeez was the one who dismissed Steve Smith from the crease).
Usman Khawaja is batting right now and has already scored three fours since his arrival. The total that the Aussies have reached in 276 in a span of 42 overs. The Cornered Tigers will have an incredibly tough time against the Aussies as the latter have been known for their bowling prowess throughout history.
Earlier before the match had even begun, Imam-ul-Haq had stated that Mitchell Starc was “not a threat”. We shall see won’t we?
