The owner of the Japanese tanker rejects allegations made by the US Military

The Japanese ship ‘Kokuka Courageous’ which was an oil tanker had gone down due to explosions a day ago. The crew reportedly saw “flying objects” before the commencement of the attack.

Yutaka Katada, president of Kokuka Sangyo spoke to reporters on Friday with regards to this incident. The crew had seen “flying objects” prior to the fire that destroyed the tanker. Katada also stated that the tanker hadn’t come across mine, so he doesn’t attribute that particular item to be the cause of the attack.

This is a blow to the US “testimony”, as American Military claims that Iran was responsible for the attack. 21 crew members abandoned the ship and were later rescued. The tanker was carrying methanol to Singapore and Thailand.

However, the crew recollected the sight of an “Iranian Navy Ship” though they couldn’t be sure of when they had seen it. Many have speculated that the tanker went down as a result of a torpedo attack. A proper investigation must be carried out, without the involvement of Trump’s USA.
