Thieves try to rob Bitcoin ATM in England

A group of thieves attempted to rob a Bitcoin ATM in Birmingham, UK on 15th July.

According to the security footage, the 3 men were able to gain access to the building where the ATM is located and tried to break the machine open. However, their plan was unsuccessful, as a blaring alarm caused them to panic and return to their car.

The ATM operator, Shitcoins Club’s CEO, Adam Gramowski clarified that the thieves were not able to steal any cash from the machine. He was quite certain that the thieves were targeting the cash rather than the crypto.

Even if they were after the crypto, Gramowski confidently confirmed that they would not have succeeded as they do not store any cryptocurrency in the machine’s hard drive, which are sent directly from their servers.

A local police officer confirmed the incident and said that the investigation to the attack is currently ongoing.
