Popular video-sharing app TikTok announced on the 30th that it will launch its own NFT collection documenting the most iconic moments on the app.
The collection, named “Tik Tok Top Moments’ would be a creator-led initiative where they would collaborate with others to create NFTs.
In addition, the TikTok NFTs would be available on Ethereum and utilize Immutable X, a layer 2 scaling solution. Immutable X will enable transactions without worrying about fees.
The company announced that the ‘TikTok Top Moments’ will feature creators including Lil Nas X, Rudy Willingham, Bella Poarch, Curtis Roach, Brittany Broski, FNMeka, Jess Marciante, and Gary Vaynerchuk.
As per the announcement, they would collaborate with COIN ARTIST, x0r, RTFKT, Grimes, and others to create additional limited edition NFTs.
The statement issued by the company read:
“TikTok will bring something unique and groundbreaking to the NFT landscape by curating some of these cultural milestones and pairing them with prominent NFT artists. Now, you can own a moment on TikTok that broke the internet.”
